People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) have their own hopes and dreams for their lives. Through the work of the Direct Support Professionals, the Clinical Department, the Administrative staff, the Families, the Community, and the Board of Directors of New Horizons Resources, Inc. (NHR), we strive every day to enable people with IDD to achieve fulfilling lives in their local communities by engendering a sense of home, belonging, self-determination, learning, productivity and individual respect. NHR strives to provide continuity of services for each phase of a person’s life. We offer a variety of living arrangements and day services so we can provide the best options for each person at every stage of their life. NHR has a strong commitment to a continuum of services and supports over the course of a life.

Our Services

Since 1974, NHR has celebrated people of all abilities who live, learn, and thrive in our community. NHR supports over 200 people in New York’s Dutchess and Ulster Counties through its residential and day services.
